Last night I had the opportunity to see Drawing with Chalk, a film written & directed by a college friend and starring him, another college friend and my college acting teacher.  I went into it not really sure what to expect.  I know that it was a labor of love for both Todd & Chris and I was a little bit worried.  I was worried that it would not be as good as I wanted it to be.  I did not want it to be a case of me hyping it up to my husband and him hating it. 

I was wrong.  I know certain aspects are similar to Todd’s life (inter-cultural marriage, him and Chris being friends for over 20 years, etc.) but they managed to take the story to another level.  I saw my life there- from the kid crawling into bed to arguments about giving up dreams to living in a place I was unhappy in…

Todd & Chris got it and they shared it with the world.  Although I am a bit mad about them sneaking in the “In memory of Tim” at the end- I was already teary eyed.

Thank you Todd & Chris.

The dirt.

I could do a little digging and the dirt would just be wonderful and ready to go.  Here I do a little digging and get clay.  *sighs*  I did put some compost out and tried to fill in, but no idea what will happen after it rains.

Maybe some day it will be consistently warm enough to do some plantings.
