surgeries and stuffs

Went to see the surgeon for a follow-up appointement. The plan is still to reverse the ostomy and reattach Tristan in December. But, he is going in April 25th for hernia repair. Since he was a preemie, he will have to spend the night. Of course, I have to change a couple of other Dr. appts (the peds and the ortho), but that will be one thing down.

Eye doctor

Had to take Tristan to the eye doctor. Since he is so young they had to use the medieval torture device on him to check his eyes. Everything looked good so don’t have to go back for a year. Our variety club telethon was yesterday- caught the part where they did the tear jurking tour of the Children’s Hospital NICU- have to laugh that they did not show any shots of the eye doctor. Told the doctor that and he laughed. Apparently he was there the same time that Variety Club donated an incubator to the Sister’s Hospital NICU (the first one Tristan was at). They were trying to avoid having him be anywhere near where they were videotaping since the babies *HATE* the eye exam and they didn’t want to show the babies being tortured.

Jayne Cobb

Patterns for making Jayne Cobb’s hat. For those who don’t know who Jayne Cobb is, run out and rent Firefly. Failing that, Serenity. Joss Wheton is a god. That is all.

When crochet goes bad

Image hosting by Photobucket

This sexy little number came to me via ebay’s Vintage Forums. C’mon, what self respecting man would wear this- well maybe a Brady would… and look at what happened to the Brady boys. Sadly, if this came up for auction I would bid on it… just for the hell of it.
